Ok, I couldn’t stand it anymore…I had to email Mr. X, the TV host.  After all, he has had my DVD for 2 days now and I have not heard anything.  This is what I wrote-

“So I figure if you loved the pilot you would have contacted me by now to executive produce my show and tuck me under your wing.

Or, you hated the show and you’re done with me.

Or, you haven’t watched it yet.

I don’t want to be a pest, but I am anxiously awaiting word from you.  If you hated it, give it to me straight, I can take it!  I’ll shoot the whole damn thing over again if I have to.”

He promptly emailed back saying, ” I’m overseas right now filming, and I will take a look when I get home.”

Again, I am very impressed that he takes the time to reply from his Blackberry,  to little ol’ me.

Later today I get another email from my partner, Randy…it was a forwarded back and fourth email from Mr. X and another guy.

Here is how that went-”Hi Mr.X, thanks for contributing to my cause, again, etc…hope all is well.  By the way I understand that you are considering a proposal on a show about street food.  I just wanted to let you know that the Director, Randy is a good friend of mine and the show is well worth a look.  I guess they coincidentally contacted you already.

Thanks, see you when you return.”

It turns out that my partner has a surfer buddy who went to high school with Mr. X and they keep in touch.   Small world, and you never know who is going to enter your life.

Mr X’s reply- “Yes, my assistant says the DVD is waiting for me on my desk.  I will take a look and I am very interested in the concept.”

I don’t want to get my hopes up too soon…uh oh, too late!

I am still committed to walking into that building from the other day, Pilgrim TV…but I do have another business to attend to and more importantly, my family.  I will go next week and walk into Pilgrim if it’s the last thing I do!   I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket…maybe I can start a bidding war!!!
